I’d like to believe that anyone who goes into teaching or education knows this and has the desire to contribute to improving the future of the young people in front of them through passion for their subject and being an inspirational role model. Often, as teachers, we become so embroiled in the paperwork and outraged at the politics that we forget that we can make a difference. We are the ones to shape the future purely by doing what we do to the best of our abilities; nurturing the minds of young people day in, day out. So, rather than be part of the problem and sit on the sidelines complaining about what is wrong with the state of the world, I have decided to play my part in the solution by sharing my ideas, resources, thoughts, ramblings and findings with other like minded people.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
PS. All thoughts and ideas shared on here are my own (or someone else’s magnificent perceptions that I have decided to share by my own volition) and are not in any way attached to any organisation I may work for, with or against! My ramblings are also in no way associated with any political organisations, Girl Guides or tiddlywinks clubs I may have been a member of when I was fourteen or the woman who pushed past me yesterday in the queue at M&S. They are however, influenced by my wonderful parents, loving family and amazing friends as well as some truly inspirational people that I have been lucky enough to encounter in the adventure that has been my life thus far – for that I am blessed and I thank them all!
